Today I’m sharing how I decorated my bohemian inspired bedroom. I decided to turn one of my spare bedrooms into a peaceful boho retreat where I can nap, meditate, read, craft, and just relax. I love the mix of textures that give it a boho feel. This room is full of soft pillows, shaggy rugs, live plants, crystals, and beautiful wall hangings. Here’s how to create the perfect boho bedroom styling.

For the bedding, I fell in love with this set from Target. It’s discontinued but I’ve linked a few similar sets. It resembles a Moroccan wedding blanket style and is super cute. I topped it with tons of pillows and arranged them not only at the head of the bed but along one side to kind of give it a couch feel.

A canopy is a must for a boho vibe. I tied each corner with ribbon, but you could also let it drape down freely, which is so pretty. I attached a little dreamcatcher to one side (it was a Christmas ornament from Target, so cute!)

I love tapestries because they can be fairly inexpensive like this one that I love. It’s an easy way to quickly change up the look of the room. Before I had this beautiful floral cream colored one, I had another color:

Hang string lights over the tapestry to create some ambiance. I wanted to hang up the lights again with my new tapestry, but my kitty had other plans! She decided to destroy them lol.

I love placing fresh flowers and a few salt lamps on my nightstand for more ambiance.

I hang suncatchers in my window and they make beautiful rainbows all over the room. I can’t recommend them enough, they are so fun!

A boho bedroom needs live plants! I’m awful at keeping plants alive, but I have some fool-proof ones like monstera, snakeplant, and cacti and succulents.
