I’ve always loved decorating with crystals and stones. They add organic glamour and are stunning decorative elements. Displaying your collection in bowls and trays is a wonderful way to showcase their beauty while keeping your space organized and intentional. Here are 8 crystal bowl displays and ideas for creative ways to showcase your crystal collection.
Organize with Intention
I have so many different little crystals and stones I’ve collected over the years. I recently noticed so many were scattered all over in different drawers and bags, and I was rediscovering what I had. So instead of keeping them stored away where they’re forgotten, I’ve been keeping them in pretty little bowls and trays around my house.
• Organize By Color: Create a gradient effect by grouping crystals in color families, such as pinks (rose quartz, rhodonite, pink opal) or white/gray (clear quartz, smoky quartz, hematite).

I placed some crystals in a pink vintage ashtray and I love how pretty they look. I have pink aura quartz, selenite stick, clear quartz, an amethyst orb, blue apatite, and other tiny, sparkly geode clusters.

• Organize By Purpose: Group crystals by their metaphysical properties, such as stones for love, protection, or creativity.
• Organize By Shape: Display raw stones, tumbled stones, and clusters separately for visual interest.

I placed my little collection of raw crystals an geode chunks in a gold Hamsa dish and a wooden moon bowl. I created a little crystal display on my nightstand and included a salt lamp and quartz crystal candle holder.

Consider Placement
The location of your display affects its energy and aesthetic.
• Living Rooms: Place your collection on a coffee table or side table.

I placed some pyrite, smoky quartz and clear quartz crystals and stones in a small gold tray on top of some coffee table books. I organized them by color, using gray and white/clear crystals. They look really chic and they really pop against the gold.

On a living room side table, here is another collection of gray and black crystals that I styled on a large quartz slab.

Quartz platters & slabs:
• Bedrooms: Display calming stones like amethyst or moonstone on your nightstand to encourage restful sleep.
• Workspaces: Use a tray with focus-enhancing stones like citrine or fluorite on your desk for productivity.

I placed all my smoky gray stones in a glass and gold tray on top of some books. I love walking by and seeing them all sparkle!
• Next to plants: crystals and plants are both natural elements that look beautiful together.

I found this vintage glass bowl while thrifting and tossed a handful of pretty stones in it. I love styling my indoor plants with crystals, so I also added stones to the pot of my cactus. I just love how it looks.

Refresh Regularly
Keep your displays feeling fresh and vibrant by rotating your collection, switching out stones, or rearranging the bowls and trays. Clean and dust your crystals and trays.

Displaying your crystal collection in bowls and trays is a creative and meaningful way to bring their beauty and energy into your home. Whether you’re showcasing them for their aesthetic appeal, their metaphysical properties, or both, this method allows your treasures to shine while keeping them beautifully organized.

Let your imagination and intuition guide you as you design your crystal bowl displays!
