I’m sharing some super easy and simple ideas for DIY Christmas decorations: Three different wreath styles all made from dollar store supplies! Create your own beautiful wreaths with your own custom colors to match your other holiday decorations.
Your local dollar store or Target Dollar Spot will have everything you need. I found the ornaments and garland there, and you can even find scissors and glue there as well.
Supplies needed:
Wreath form (wood, metal, or foam)
Ball Ornaments
Garland
Hot glue gun + glue sticks
Scissors
Ribbon
Faux flowers
These are just ideas for wreaths that I decided to do. You can use any ornaments or garland style you like. Get creative!
Idea #1: Pink and white whimsical wreath

I found this twisted wooden wreath form and decided to spray paint it white, but this step is totally optional. I wanted a whimsical pink style wreath so I found some small pearlescent pink and silver ball ornaments.

I chose a sparkly white garland and silver bead strand. Start by wrapping the garland around the wreath, allowing some of the wood to be shown.

Next, wrap the beads around it as well. Glue the ends to the wreath.

I removed the plastic loops from the ball ornaments and Placed some glue on the top of it. Press the ball firmly into the wood. Let it set for a few seconds to make sure it adheres.

Done! Just hang it from a pretty ribbon. It is so simple and easy to make but so adorable.

Idea #2: Mixed metallics ball wreath

I used a wire wreath form for this wreath.

Start by wrapping the garland tightly around the wreath. When you reach the end of the garland, tuck it in and glue it to the wire frame. Make sure no wire is showing and it’s fully concealed by the garland.

I went for a mixed metals look, so I chose gold and silver balls. I think it looks pretty with a mix of glitter, metallic, and textured ornaments.

Starting with the outermost area, begin to glue the balls around the wreath. Once again, remove the plastic loops that the string usually attaches to. Then put some glue on the tip and kind of tuck the tip into the garland, preferably on the metal. If you can’t get it to adhere quite to the metal, that’s okay; just add some glue to the garland.

They may appear a little loose at first, but no worries. When you add more balls close to each other, you can start gluing the sides of each ball to one other. Alternate between gold and silver (or whatever colors you have chosen).

When finished with the outer layer of balls, then begin gluing balls onto the inner ring of the wreath. Continue all the way around until it’s done.

Done!

Here are a few more wreaths I created with different color balls.

Idea #3: Ribbon and flowers wreath
For this wreath I’m using a foam wreath circle.

Start by wrapping thick ribbon completely around the foam. Glue the ends to the back.

I found a faux bunch of winter flowers at the dollar store and plucked off the flowers and berries that I wanted.

Glue three flowers next to each other on one side of the wreath.

Then glue the berries on the side of the flowers.

That’s it! So unbelievably easy and simple, but totally cute and customizable to the colors of your holiday decorations.

I hope you enjoyed these three holiday wreath ideas using all dollar store supplies. Get creative and definitely let me know if you create some of your own!
