I love to decorate with a touch of Halloween, but not over the top. I usually keep it minimal and stick to a monochromatic aesthetic, as I’m going for an elegant, dark and glamorous vibe that perfectly meshes with my existing interior design style. Here are four moody chic Halloween decor ideas and tips.
•Add Eerie candlelight. Every Halloween vignette needs lots of candles. The warm glow of the candlelight provides a hauntingly beautiful backdrop. Using vintage finds adds the perfect spooky feel. I thrifted this amazing candelabra and added black taper candlesticks for an eerie touch. The candles are flameless and battery operated which makes them safe and convenient.

•Use what you already have. I had this black jar candle which worked perfectly with the black and white color scheme. I also already owned this snakeskin tray and thought it would be a perfect modern touch to display some Halloween pumpkins.

I’ve incorporated some spooky decor pieces with my pre-existing shelf decor to effortlessly transition to Halloween. Layer pumpkins on stacks of books or place them in groupings on shelves.
•Incorporate glamorous accents – like marble and velvet. Marble adds a beautiful, modern element and velvet textures are a luxurious way to bring in warmth to your decorating. I loved the silver disco pumpkin and thought it was the perfect glam addition.

I like to choose pumpkins that are chic statement pieces — I wanted more than just solid black pumpkins, so I created my own. I DIY’ed these chic black and white patterned pumpkins myself with pumpkins from the dollar store!

•Decorate with crystals and stones. Add organic glamour and a metaphysical touch by incorporating crystals and stones with your Halloween decor. Smokey Quartz, obsidian, and tourmaline are dark colored crystals that work perfectly with a moody glam decorating style. Quartz towers have an inherently gothic look in my opinion so I think they look so perfect placed in between pumpkins, skulls, and other creepy elements.
