My inspiration board is like my real life Pinterest board. It’s the place I pin things that bring me joy, things that inspire me, color themes I love, my current vibe I’m going for in my designs and style and in life, and just things I love to look at while at my desk all day. It’s a mixture of a vision board, mood board, and artistic collage display; so I like to call it my inspiration board.
How I Decorated My Inspiration Board
I found many of the pretty prints on Etsy or received them with other art purchases. I love how my board turned out and it was so fun to arrange all the pretty pictures. I first gathered together all the pictures I wanted to include on my inspiration board. Then I laid them all down in the layout I liked, then taped or pinned them to the board.
On my board I’ve included lots of colorful images. I love color, and I’ve somewhat organized my board by color themes. I love the dreamy, ethereal vibe of the purple, pink, and blue prints on the bottom area.

This corner area is where I’ve pinned lots of paintings from one of my favorite artists, Daydreamer Alley. I love the abstract, colorful, playful vibe of these paintings, and since they inspire me in my own artwork, I had to pin them up so I could see them each day.

I grouped all the pretty art prints I’ve been collecting from my favorite artists.

I also like to pin up things that are special or sentimental to me. I have a few pictures of my husband and favorite cat in a little cluster along with a sweet birthday card my parents got me a few years ago that I loved.

On my desk I have some pretty quartz and amethyst crystals, along with a few framed pictures on the wall.

Create your own board!
Want to create your own inspiration board? Be sure to keep it somewhere that you’ll see it often. Look for images, quotes, and words that resonate with your goals. Your inspiration board should inspire and motivate you every time you look at it.
Artwork and print ideas:
Your vision board should reflect your personal and professional goals and interests, or pictures that give you inspiration. You can find images from magazines, newspapers, books, or you can print out your own images. By searching Pinterest and Google you will be able to find lots of visual inspiration.

Get creative. Markers, stickers, and other decorative elements add a personal touch. I included cute papers and stickers on my images.
This bulletin board is one I found at HomeGoods years ago, but I’ve listed a few cute options below.
I hope you feel inspired to create your own inspiration board! Please show me if you do!
